Studded finned tubes, also known as nailhead tubes or pin fin tubes, feature cylindrical studs (pins) resistance-welded or high-frequency welded to the outer surface of a base tube. This design significantly increases the heat transfer surface area—typically 2-3 times that of bare tubes—while maintaining excellent mechanical strength and fouling resistance.
