Product Overview
ASTM A179 Extruded Finned Tubes are high-performance heat transfer components manufactured from ASTM A179 seamless low-carbon steel tubes with an extruded aluminum fin sleeve mechanically bonded to the base tube. Manufacturing Process
The extruded finned tube is produced by first fitting an aluminum sleeve over the ASTM A179 base tube. Special extrusion rollers then plastically deform the outer aluminum layer, creating fins while simultaneously forming an intimate mechanical bond with the steel tube underneath.
This process creates:
