This product is a one-piece line blank conforming to ASME B16.48, commonly known as a figure-8 blank or spectacle blind due to its distinctive shape. It is forged from ASTM A182 F316L low-carbon austenitic stainless steel and consists of a solid blind end and a ring spacer end connected by a web. Installed between pipe flanges, the blind can be rotated to provide either absolute physical isolation (Blind Flange End) or full-bore flow passage (Throttling Ring End). The F316L material, containing molybdenum and having very low carbon content, offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, pitting, and chloride stress corrosion cracking. It is therefore well-suited for aggressive environments such as offshore applications, chloride-bearing media, or acidic fluid services. The design fully complies with ASME B16.48 dimensional, tolerancing, and facing requirements (RF, FF, RTJ...).
